This year has been fantastic for the Clearview team; we have been involved in local CSR activities, developed our team’s knowledge, added to our fleet of vehicles and even appeared on Grand Designs!
We have also had the opportunity to learn from homebuilders about their top priorities, such as U-Value and energy efficiency, and have contributed to national media outlets about how glass features can increase property value.

Staff training and development
At Clearview, we invest in training our existing staff base so that everyone can grow with our business. We’re also lucky to have welcomed some new team members in 2024.
This year, two of our fabricators, Declan and Brandon, passed their Level 2 Fenestration Fabricator Apprenticeships! They have been working hard to reach this qualification since 2021 and have gained skills to improve the quality of their work, adhere to industry standards and work more effectively within our manufacturing and production team.

This year, we hired a skilled new fabricator, Magdalena, who has worked in the industry since 2019. In addition, we have recently appointed two further apprentices who will develop new skills and knowledge while working alongside our team.
Business milestones
It has been 15 years since we began manufacturing at our first 3.300 square feet unit within Towndoor’s Meltham Mills site! Since then, we have grown to have two showrooms in Huddersfield and Leeds, and are proud to manufacture a wide range of aluminium doors and windows.
In addition, it has been 30 years since our Head Installer, Jimmy, began working for Paul, back when his business could be classified as “a man with a van”. Jimmy has seen Clearview grow from strength to strength, and we’re so grateful to have had his support with domestic and commercial installs all across the UK.
We have also invested in our showroom, enabling customers to view our products in person, particularly at our Huddersfield branch. We recently introduced a new Heritage-style four-pane folding door with a slim sash in the Huddersfield Showroom.
Charity and CSR
We are passionate about supporting organisations in our local community, and this year, we chose to support the Kirklees and Calderdale Charity Lunch (KACCL), Netherton Junior FC Under 16s and Circus Starr.
We attended the KACCL in November. This charity lunch raised almost £30,000 for worthy causes, including Project Youth Cancer and Fresh Futures. Our team had a great afternoon and enjoyed the networking and entertainment, including watching the Orange Box Choir.
This year, we also sponsored four places for children to attend the annual Big Top Performance produced and performed by Cirrus Starr. Circus Starr holds accessible and inclusive events for children with disabilities and additional learning needs.
In addition, we were proud to sponsor the new football kit for Netherton Junior FC Under 16s!
Wider events and appearances
This year, we exhibited at the Harrogate Homebuilding and Renovating Show, showcasing our range of aluminium doors and windows. We engaged in industry conversations and discussed the importance of thermal efficiency and U-Value in homes. This ties in with our recent study, which revealed that energy efficiency improvements can boost property value by up to 15%.
We were also incredibly proud to appear on Grand Designs (Season 25 – Episode 3), where we provided sliding doors for an accessibility-friendly house build for Kara, who has Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), a rare autoimmune disease. Our team installed all the aluminium doors, including the stylish entrance doors, windows and the glazed roof.
Finally, our team contributed their expertise to various media outlets, including GB News, where we discussed witnessing a surge in enquiries for orangeries, especially due to their ability to increase space and bring more light into the home. We also featured in The Sun where we discussed some key tactics to reduce condensation and mould on windows in winter.
