A few months ago, we made the trip to Stockport to install two 2-pane sliding doors for a young family, wanting to take advantage of the great features of the product. The sliding doors were part of a major improvement of the windows and doors at the home, and will allow the family to use their lounge and garden space more beneficially in the future.
The aluminium sliding doors are a SMA Visoglide (BETA) Sliding Window and Sliding Door arrangement, with sliding towards the inside of the property.
Sliding doors have great environmental and financial benefits, with the glazing, which is in the following arrangement: 4mm toughened outer, 20mm argon filled cavity, 4mm toughened low-e inner with high efficiency glass, also providing superb heat retention and reflection properties. This should help to keep the lounge area warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, whilst also reducing heating costs.
